Colt UK developed a complete solution with mechanical extraction to provide day to day and smoke ventilation to the atrium, ducted mechanical extraction for the restaurant and café areas, Coltlite and FCO systems to provide natural ventilation and Universal Louver systems for the plant rooms.
Subsequently Colt NL was contracted by Permasteelisa / Scheldebouw to provide many items of the supply, which was a challenging assignment since there were many different sizes and types of products.
The new hospital is expected to be the most sustainable major acute hospital in the UK with a carbon footprint well below the UK government’s target.
